KARACHI: 5th December 2016, Bahria University Medical & Dental College organized a Guest Lecture on “Current practice of Anticoagulation and Antibiotic Prophylaxis in Surgical Patients” by Dr. Rashid, Consultant Internal Medicine and Haematologist, North Carolina University USA.
The seminar was addressed by Dean Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof Asadullah Khan, Dental Section’s Principal Prof Dr Zubair Ahmed Abbassi, Dental faculty members and students.The program started with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Junaid and was moderated by Dr. Mamoora Arslan, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BUMDC.
Dr. Rashid highlighted the importance of selecting the right patient for Antibiotic Prophylaxis and the updated guidelines regarding Antibiotics and Anticoagulants. The lecture concluded with a Question & Answer session.
Principal Dental Section Prof Dr Zubair Ahmed Abbassi gave a vote of thanks and mentioned that such programs will be arranged regularly in future as well. At the end of event Souvenir was presented to the Guest Speaker by Prof Asadullah Khan.
