Bahria University provides academic guidance to students through academic advisors. The student-advisor relationship is viewed as a partnership where both members of the team have responsibilities which if properly fulfilled, enhances the students’ opportunities for academic success. Responsibilities of the academic advisor include guidance in selection of courses, informing and explaining admission procedures, transfer of credits, assistance in general adjustments to university life, serving as a resource person for university information and guiding students to meet their academic requirements. It is the students’ responsibility to know their degree requirements, to be accountable for university policies, and to obtain course scheduling information. Students are encouraged to meet with their advisors to discuss problems affecting their academic performance. Students are advised to use their advisor’s expertise in achieving their academic goals.
