Karachi: The first batch of BDS 2012-2016 of Bahria University Medical and Dental College was given a first of its kind farewell function in November arranged by its juniors. The function was attended by many faculty members including Dr Kulsoom Fatima , Vice Principal Dental Section and HOD Community Dentistry, Dr Ahmed Omer, HOD Science of Dental Materials and Dr Ambreen Usmani, Vice Principal Medical Section, BUMDC
Once the event kicked off by a 3rd year BDS student Kulsum Zahir, who was her usual lively self, there was no turning back. No student was spared from her entertaining comments as she made sure it was a true interactive show. Both faculty and students thoroughly enjoyed playing “truth or dare” . A very interesting multimedia video was shown, made by the third year BDS, in which every graduating class member was given an exclusive title along with a relevant song according to their unique attributes.
Words of wisdom were shared by Dr Kulsoom Fatima, Dr Ahmed Omer, Dr Ambreen Usmani , and Dr Aqeel ,an ex-teacher of BUMDC . Dr. Sana Mubarak & Dr Moosani ,other ex-teachers who couldn’t make it to the ceremony ,shared their well wishes as well. A heart warming farewell message was given by Hafsa Saeed on behalf of third year BDS batch. Affaf Fatima from final year BDS touched every one’s heart as she shared the memories she had made with her class fellows and teachers during four years of education.
All in all it was a fun filled affair that ended up with delicious food which left most of the students longing for more- thanks to the third year batch!
