Prof. Dr. Wafa Omer graduated from Army Medical College in the year 2004. She completed MPhil and PhD from Army Medical College, NUST in 2011 and 2016 respectively. She attained post-doctorate in Cardiovascular Genetics and Gene Annotation from University College London (UK) in 2017. She has over 17 years of teaching, clinical and administrative experience in the leading public and private sector Medical colleges across Pakistan. She was previously heading the Pathology diagnostic Laboratory at Benazir Bhutto Hospital. She was also Director PhD Chemical and Molecular Pathology Program and Project Director Research Laboratory Complex at Rawalpindi Medical University. She has numerous National and International publications and has won multiple research grants and International travel grants. She is an HEC-approved PhD supervisor for Chemical Pathology and CPSP supervisor for fellowship in Chemical Pathology.
Dr. Saira Karimi

Dr. Saira Karimi completed her PhD in Biosciences and has over 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in leading public and private sector medical universities in Pakistan. She served as an Assistant Professor at Rawalpindi Medical University from September 2023 to September 2024. Dr. Karimi is currently the Co-Chapter Head of the Pakistan Biosafety Association (PBSA). As a certified Master Trainer in biosafety, biosecurity, and biorisk management, Dr. Karimi specializes in training faculty and students in these critical areas, as well as in research writing, grant applications, project management, and proposal development. She is also an expert in R programming, machine learning, and handling big data, bringing valuable computational skills to her research and teaching roles. Her research interests include biosafety, molecular biology, vector-borne disease surveillance, and antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Karimi has published extensively in national and international journals and has supervised multiple student research projects focusing on bioinformatics and antimicrobial resistance patterns. Dr. Karimi has been awarded numerous research grants and international travel grants, and she is an HEC-approved PhD supervisor. She also contributes to the scientific community as a Section Editor and reviewer for prominent local journals, including JRMC and JNAH, supporting the advancement of research quality and publication standards.
Dr. Nesheman Huma

Dr. Nesheman Huma graduated from Department of Biotechnology, University of Karachi (UoK) in the year 2013. She completed her M.Phil. leading to Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Dr. A.Q. Khan Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, UoK in the year 2021. She has been affiliated with research institutes for more than 4 years. She has worked at Aga Khan as Post-doctoral Fellow and as a Research Officer at National Institute of Virology (NIV), International Centre of Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS). Her teaching experience as a faculty member is more than 2 years. Recently, she has worked for one year as an Assistant Professor (IPFP Fellow) at Department of Biotechnology, Fatima Jinnah Women University where she was involved in teaching and supervising research projects. She is a Biosafety Professional with two certifications in the area of Biorisk Management and Biosecurity from International Federation of Biosafety (IFBA). She is also member of Pakistan Biological Safety Association (PBSA) and Asian Federation Of Biotechnology (AFOB).
