BREAST CANCER AWARENESS SESSION
On October 22, 2024, the Manager Student Support Centre Miss Iram Arshad, in collaboration with the Department of Surgery and Community Medicine & Public Health at BUCM, organized a Breast Cancer Awareness session for all female faculty and staff members. Honorable Principal Maj Gen ® Prof. Dr. Irfan Ali Mirza HI(M) at BUCM addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness and encouraging female staff to seek medical advice without hesitation if needed.
The keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Shazia Jehan (MBBS, FCPS, Department of Surgery BUCM), provided crucial insights into Breast Cancer Awareness and prevention. During the session, Dr. Shazia emphasized the importance of monthly self-examinations and presented a detailed video to demonstrate the process. She also highlighted the significance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise to reduce the risk of serious diseases. In the end question & answer session was held to satisfy the queries of the audience. Feedback from the participants revealed that this event empowered the attendees with knowledge and practical tools for early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
