The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the world’s largest and most prestigious moot court competition, with participants from approximately 700 law schools across 100 countries and jurisdictions. Established in 1960, the competition simulates a dispute between nations before the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial organ of the United Nations.
The International Rounds, held in Washington, D.C., are judged by some of the most renowned international law experts, judges, and practitioners from around the world. This year, the final round was adjudicated by sitting judges of the International Court of Justice, including judges Juan Manuel Gómez Robledo, Georg Nolte, and Joan Donoghue (former President of the ICJ).
