Workshop on Case Study Based Teaching (29th-30th April 2015)
Bahria University believes in continuous development of its faculty members. A number of workshops and seminars are conducted every year by the university in this context.
Following this tradition, A two-day workshop on Case Study Based teaching was organized by Management Sciences Department at Bahria University Lahore Campus on 29th and 30th April 2015. Apart from the permanent faculty at Bahria University Lahore Campus, deans and senior faculty members from 6 different universities of Lahore, Gujranwala and Gujrat attended this workshop including:
- GIFT University, Gujranwala
- Lahore Garrison University, Lahore
- University of Gujrat, Gujrat
- IBA, Punjab University Lahore
- University of Education, Bank Road Campus, Lahore
- University of Education, Lower Mall Campus, Lahore
On day 1 (29th April 2015) Mr. Naveed M Khan, Associate Professor at Bahria University Karachi Campus, educated the participants on Case Study Based Teaching. The participants benefited from his experience and useful insight on the subject.
Topic for Day 2 (30th April 2015) was Case Study Writing. Dr. Faisal Aftab, Director of Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization/ R&D at Bahria University Headquarters, explained the importance of case study in teaching and then lectured on writing a case study.
The overall sessions were interactive on both the days of the workshop and participants also contributed with their own perspectives on case study based teaching. Faculty at Bahria University benefited from these informative sessions and appreciated the effort of Management Sciences in conducting this workshop. The participants appreciated the quality of workshop and the knowledge they gained on the subject matter.
