Mr. Wajahat Jafri is a Co-Founder of Ping Up Pakistan which is one of the Pakistan’s leading Digital Wealth Tech (Investment & Takaful Products) platform that allow users to invest their hard-earned money safely and sustainably. In addition to Wealth Tech, Ping Up also offers Fintech solutions to Financial Institutions where they provide AI, Chatbots, Robo Advisory and design beautiful journeys based on the insights from analytics on behaviour and psychology.
Wajahat Jafri’s journey began after completing his schooling and intermediate education, when he joined Bahria University Karachi in 2006 for his Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA). He completed his graduation in 2010. He has had an entrepreneur mindset from the early days of the University and he showed this when he got the chance in 2009 where he presented the idea of digitizing Auto Maintenance Industry which was widely accepted and recognized at all forums. However, to become an aspiring entrepreneur, he decided to start his journey in the world of business by immersing himself in the Banking industry, eager to gain a comprehensive understanding of financial products and systems before persuading his dreams. He joined Banking Industry in 2010 and simultaneously enrolled himself for Masters of Business Administration (MBA). He completed his MBA Finance in 2012 with Cum Laude (3.63 CGPA) distinction from Bahria University Karachi.
He spent more than a decade in Banking Industry and climb the corporate ladder. He has worked with numerous Banking & Wealth entities of global presence and has a proven track record of successful business development and elevating Banking and Wealth standards of the Institutions and customers. Today, industry recognized him as a seasoned Business Head with an unshakable track record of success. Wajahat brings over 14 years of experience, visionary leadership and Wealth Management expertise to drive innovation and reshaping the future of Wealth & Fintech. Along with the practical experience he set his sights on further education to compete the best talent and pursued a professional certification of Islamic Finance Certified Practitioner (IFCP) Level 1 and Certified Mutual Fund Distributor (CMFD to prepare himself for the challenges that lay ahead.
His entrepreneurial journey started when he made the bold decision to leave his stable job and pursue his dreams. It was a leap of faith, but he was determined to carve his own path and build something from the ground up. With his background in finance and a keen eye for market trends, Wajahat dove headfirst into new venture. The transition wasn’t easy, and there were many challenges along the way, but Wajahat remained resilient and focused on his goals. He utilized his years of experience in banking to make strategic decisions, manage risks effectively, and build a strong foundation for his business.
