I have completed my MS Project Management from Bahria University Karachi Campus. Back in 2016, at the time I was working with TCS as Manager of Operations. In the same role, I have delegated an assignment by TCS management to look after e-commerce projects. Considering a good opportunity I started vesting my extra time in identifying problems on the ground and how quick fixes can be done. Similarly, that was the point where I realized that I have to sharpen my project management skills and knowledge. So without delaying I enrolled myself for MS Project Management at Bahria University. While studying I learned different methodologies and how to implement them in real situations. This helped me a lot at TCS and supported me in getting promotions.
In 2018 I was promoted to Operations Controller MMS. That was the turning point when industry leaders started looking at my achievements ….!
That was the time Daraz approached me after a year for an opportunity to develop and launch a new business stream named “Cross border” back in 2019 in five countries Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Myanmar & Nepal. I accepted this as a challenge and joined as “Head of Cross Border Operations”.
Within the span of two years I not just developed and launched cross border operations in South Asian countries but also helped commercial in getting higher revenues. Within this short span of 2 years, from zero % we went to a 7% business share of complete Daraz South Asia business.
Now I can proudly say that I have bridged the customer to the global market where they can easily buy different products from Daraz from different countries while sitting at home.
Considering all my achievements, I was appointed back at the start of 2021 as Regional Head of Transport (3PL’s) for South Asia. While travelling to different countries for business meetings I feel really proud to introduce myself as Bahrain Alumni. This is my identity and I truly enjoy having it.
