Bahria University Karachi, Community Support Program Organized an awareness seminar on Anti-Abuse at Al-Beruni Auditorium on 18^th January 2021.

Every women/girl has the right to live her life safely and free of violence.  Abuse is a problem we all are facing nowadays; may it be physical abuse or mental abuse. According to the Prevention and Protection Act passed by the Pakistani Senate, people can report cases by calling Helpline 1099.

To shed further light on the conundrum Ms. Fareeha Kanwal, Cluster head and Assistant Professor of IPP Department will delivered a lecture regarding domestic violence and its preventive measures. She further elaborates about the type of violence, it could be physical, sexual, psychological, or financial that we should never neglect, Session was very interactive with 300+ students and there will be more sessions ahead with a similar capacity.
