BUIC (2015). Bahria University, Quality Enhancement Cell regularly arranges guest lectures for the capacity building of all the Faculty Members, invited Prof. Aman ullah Khan, Dean, Management Sciences, Riphah International University, on 17 November 2015 to deliver a lecture on “Quality Assurance and Self-Assessment”. Directors, HODs, Research Scholars and Senior Faculty Members attended the lecture.

Prof Aman ullah discussed the Self- Assessment Procedure and its importance in improving the quality of teaching in a University. He emphasized that Self-Assessment is the prime function of QEC. He briefly touched upon the role and responsibilities of Program and Assessment Teams and necessary pre-requisites for conducting a successful Self-Assessment Exercise.

Guest Speaker also discussed the impact of self-assessment on the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom and how a teacher can plan his/her lesson after doing her own lesson evaluation. Question Answer session proved interactive as many queries of the participants were addressed.

At the end of this lecture, Commodore (R) Hassan Mustafa Director Campus, Bahria University, presented the University souvenir to the visiting dignitary.
