Bahria University College of Medicine (BUCM) continues to uphold its commitment to community health, capacity building, and lifesaving education through its flagship Basic Life Support (BLS) Outreach Program. This initiative is designed to empower students, educators, and community members with essential lifesaving skills that can make the critical difference between life and death during medical emergencies.
As part of its outreach mission, BUCM is collaborating with schools, colleges, universities, and community organizations to disseminate lifesaving knowledge beyond hospital settings. It also aims to provide training to primary and secondary health care providers at their doorstep. The program aims to develop a First Responder Culture within society, ensuring that bystanders are trained, confident, and prepared to act promptly in emergencies before professional medical help arrives.
The program is led by the BUCM Skills Lab Team, comprising of trained faculty facilitators and student volunteers, working collectively to extend the university’s vision of community service and healthcare excellence.
