Rector’s Background: Commissioned into the Pakistan Navy in 1988, Vice Admiral Abid Hameed HI(M) brings with him an illustrious career marked by professional distinction and academic achievement. He is a graduate of the Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) Karachi, Pakistan Navy War College Lahore, and the National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad.
His professional credentials include specialization in Marine Engineering from PNEC and completion of the Systems Engineering & Management Course (Marine Engineering), SEMC (ME), from Manadon, UK. He further holds a Master’s degree in Advance Metallurgy from the University of Sheffield, UK.
His professional journey also reflects his deep commitment to education, having served as a faculty member at the Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC), where he later held key leadership roles as Head of the Mechanical Department and subsequently as Dean of the College.
With his vast experience, technical expertise, and leadership acumen, Bahria University looks forward to achieving new milestones under his guidance.
