Dr. Maria Moin, Head of the Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry at Bahria University Dental College (BUDC), Bahria University Health Sciences Campus Karachi (BUHSCK), participated in JMDC CON 2026 – International Conference, held on 20–21 September 2026 at Jinnah Medical & Dental College, Korangi Campus, Karachi. The conference, themed “Challenges for Better Health: Education, Innovation, Linkages,” featured expert keynote addresses, panel discussions, free paper presentations, poster competitions, and opportunities for academic and industry collaboration.
Dr. Maria Moin presented her research titled “Adaptation and Validation of an Oral Health Education Video in Pakistani Sign Language and Development and Validation of a KAP Questionnaire for Children with Hearing Impairment.” Her work emphasized inclusive and accessible oral health education for children with hearing impairment. She secured third position and a cash prize of Rs. 5,000, marking a notable achievement in dental research and highlighting BUDC-BUHSCK’s commitment to advancing evidence-based and inclusive oral healthcare.
