Bahria University Hosts ASEAN Roundtable on ASEAN-Pakistan Relations

Bahria University hosted the Roundtable Conference ASEAN: Navigating Our Future, Together, bringing together ASEAN diplomats, academics and students for a meaningful dialogue on regional cooperation, sustainable growth and ASEAN-Pakistan relations. The ASEAN Roundtable at Bahria University provided an important platform for strengthening dialogue and understanding between academic and diplomatic communities. 

The discussion highlighted ASEAN’s role as a model of regional unity, the importance of dialogue and consensus, and opportunities for deeper cooperation in trade, investment, education and people-to-people exchanges. The discussions also emphasized the potential for strengthening ASEAN-Pakistan relations through continued cooperation and engagement. 

The distinguished gathering was graced by Vice Admiral Abid Hameed, HI(M), Rector Bahria University; H.E. Dr. Emmanuel R. Fernandez, Chief Guest from the Philippines; H.E. Colonel (R) Pengiran Haji Kamal Bashah, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam; H.E. Mr. Chandra Warsenanto Sukotjo, Ambassador of Indonesia; H.E. Mr. Wunna Han, Ambassador of Myanmar; H.E. Mr. Rongvudhi Virabutr, Ambassador of Thailand; H.E. Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Ambassador of Vietnam; the High Commissioner of Malaysia; and Dr. M. Imran Yousuf, Honorary Consul General of the Philippines in Karachi. 

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session with students and faculty, followed by a group photograph, marking another significant step in Bahria University’s engagement with the ASEAN diplomatic community.
