The Research Cell team from Bahria University College of Medicine Islamabad participated actively in the Global Hackathon organized by IRADA and Harvard Health systems innovation held in Islamabad on 13-14 April, 2026. Our researchers pitched brilliant ideas before the mentors and explored excellent opportunities for collaboration with researchers from leading institutions. It was our first attempt at such a competition, but we always support and become a part of innovative ventures as we believe these are the true learning arenas. The hackathon was conducted simultaneously across 30+ countries and more than 36 global hubs, including Boston, Milan, Vietnam, and regional hubs in South Asia.
Dr. Nesheman Huma and Dr. Maryam Arshad have participated on 2nd day of event and pitched their ideas titled “Medichain AI” and “Smart AI based dandruff detecting brush” respectively. Detailed discussion was conducted by the experts and the ideas presented were encouraged.
