BUCAHS Launches Summer Internship Program 2025 with Orientation Day

Bahria University College of Allied Health Sciences (BUCAHS) proudly started its Summer Internship Program-2025 with effect from July 9, 2025 with an engaging orientation session. Professor Dr. Mehreen Lateef, Principal of BUCAHS, opened the session with a welcome address, sharing her expert insights on laboratory safety protocols. She also discussed real-life case studies of laboratory hazards and incidents to make the session more practical, engaging, and relatable for the students. During the orientation, the internees visited the Multidisciplinary Research Lab (MDRL) and its various specialized centers, where they were introduced to ongoing research projects and familiarized with key laboratory instruments and facilities.

Students shared their future goals, highlighting their interests in various potential fields of biotechnology. Students also got the opportunity to interact with BUCAHS experts from diverse fields receiving advice and mentorship for their future academic and career plans.

This dynamic internship program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience through 10 specialized modules, covering a wide spectrum of biotechnology disciplines. From mastering lab safety and biosafety protocols to exploring advanced techniques in molecular biology, microbiology, analytical chemistry, and nano-biotechnology. Students will gain practical skills essential for research and industry. The program also includes immersive sessions on bioinformatics, histopathology, blood diagnostics, and sustainable agricultural practices, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience. Students will refine their analytical skills through lab mathematics, with a final assessment and certification marking the completion of the program. Through this comprehensive training, students are set to explore cutting-edge tools, techniques, and research approaches, preparing them for future academic and professional pursuits.
