Our academic mission is to train nurture and develop medical students with safe OBGYN skills and to advance the field of medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology through translational research. We work towards the mission by integrating education and research with clinical activities.
The OBGYN faculty caters for all learning styles using contemporary instructional strategies including small group discussions, workshops and problem-solving integrated learning sessions.
Students of year four and five rotate for a period of eight weeks in OBGYN clinics, in-patients, labour room, operating rooms, and Intensive Care; designed to facilitate learning of common obstetrics and gynecological problems seen at tertiary level hospital care.
The department provides educational activities to a wider range of students (both undergraduate and postgraduate), through a comprehensive and intensive continuing medical education program. We at BUHSCK strive for excellence through ongoing professional and personal improvement.
