The 2nd meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) was successfully conducted on 22nd June 2026 chaired by the Honorable Rector.
The session commenced with a welcome to all participants, including Pro-Rectors, Director Generals, Deans, Directors, Principals, and the Quality Assurance (QA) Directorate. Their presence and active participation were acknowledged and highly appreciated.
The Director QA highlighted the pivotal role of the IQC in ensuring and advancing academic and administrative quality across the university. The importance of strengthening internal quality assurance mechanisms, monitoring institutional performance, identifying gaps, and promoting continuous improvement in line with HEC requirements was emphasized.
Item: 0105 – Progress on Self-RIPE (Review of Institutional Performance & Enhancement) 2024–25
The progress on Self-RIPE (Review of Institutional Performance & Enhancement) 2024–25 was presented to the IQC. The committee reviewed the progress and status of the institutional review activities.
The IQC also approved the constitution of the following three committees for the preparation of IPER 2026–27, which are to be notified by the Registrar’s Office:
a. Department/School Review Committee
b. Campus Follow-up Committee
c. University Self-RIPE Committee
It was decided that progress on IPER 2026–27 would be reported in the next IQC meeting.
Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) – 2024–25
The status of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) conducted during 2024–25 was presented to the IQC. The committee reviewed the SARs and their progress, and the completed SARs for 2024–25 were approved by the IQC. The importance of timely completion of remaining quality assurance activities and follow-up on identified areas for improvement was emphasized.
HEC Postgraduate Program Review (PGPR)
The IQC was briefed on the HEC Postgraduate Program Review of Bahria University, E-8 and H-11 Campuses, Islamabad, conducted on 15–16 May 2025. The HEC Postgraduate Program Review Committee comprehensively evaluated the university’s MS/MPhil and PhD programs. The progress and outcomes of the review were presented to the IQC, reaffirming the university’s commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.
PGPR – BULC, BUKC and IPP
The progress of Postgraduate Program Review (PGPR) activities for BULC, BUKC, and IPP was presented to the IQC. The committee reviewed the progress and emphasized timely completion and compliance with the required quality assurance standards.
Progress of 17 SAR Programs
The progress of 17 SAR programs was presented to the IQC. The committee reviewed the status of SAR preparation and implementation, with emphasis on ensuring quality standards, timely completion, and effective follow-up of identified gaps and recommendations.
2026–2027 QA Activities Calendar
The QA Activities Calendar for 2026–2027 was presented before the IQC. After discussion and review, the QA Activities Calendar 2026–2027 was approved by the 2nd IQC, providing a structured framework for planning, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance activities across the university.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening internal quality assurance mechanisms, ensuring effective follow-up of review outcomes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the university.
