Progress on Self-RIPE (Review of Institutional Performance & Enhancement)
2024-25
The Director QA presented progress on the previous IQC decision and informed members that the Self-RIPE Corrective Action Plan 2024-25, circulated on 16 July 2025, had been substantially implemented by the concerned Campuses, Schools, and Directorates. Major achievements included establishing and upgrading PG laboratories at BUIC; developing the University Master Plan for all campuses; defining and promulgating the Digital Transformation and Ethics Policies; and initiating School/Department-wise budgeting for FY 2027.
Approval of student and alumni representation on the Board of Governors; integration of the Tutorial Policy into the Underperforming Student Policy; and incorporation of the QA Policy into the Academic Audit Manual. The Self-RIPE Review Team, including an external member, conducted a progress review from 15 to 17 June 2026 and found the implementation of the corrective actions satisfactory. As a way forward, the Review Team recommended constituting Review Committees at the Department/School, Campus, and University levels to prepare the Institution Portfolio Report 2026 27 (IPE) in accordance with HEC PSG-2023 RIPE Standards.
Accordingly, the progress on the Corrective Action Plan 2024-25 ratified by the IQC.
The constitution of the following three committees is also approved by the IQC for the preparation of IPER 2026-27 and is to be notified by the Registrar's Office:
a. Department/School Review Committee
b. Campus Follow-up Committee
c. University Self-RIPE Committee
The progress on the IPER 2026-27 is to be reported in the next IQC meeting,
