Executive Summary- Assessment of SARs of Undergraduate Programs of BU E-8
Campus, Islamabad on HEC Revised QA Framework PREE - PSG-2023
In line with HEC guidelines, an Assessment Team (AT) conducted an assessment of selected undergraduate programs on 13 May 2026. The review was carried out using the HEC revised standard of Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) –PSG 2023 framework.

The assessment commenced at 0900 hours on 13 May 2026 with an initial meeting between the AT and the Director General (DG) at Bahria University E-8 Campus, Islamabad. All concerned Principals, HODs, and QACs attended the meeting. The overall visit was coordinated by the Deputy Director of QA, Bahria University E-8 Campus. The AT reviewed the Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) prepared by the respective
departmental Quality Assurance Committees in line with the HEC Revised Framework – Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) Standards, PSG 2023. The eight PREE standards are as follows:
1.Programme mission, objectives, and outcomes
2.Curriculum design and organisation
3.Subject-specific facilities
4.Student advising and counselling
5.Teaching faculty/staff
6.Institutional policies and process control
7.Institutional support and facilities
8.Institutional general requirements
Methodology
The first Self-Assessment exercise under the revised PREE standards was carried out through the following steps:
• Monthly training sessions were conducted for the QACs of the selected programs.
• All necessary documentation, including the SAR template based on PREE standards and feedback forms, was made available by the QA focal person at the campus and uploaded on the QA Directorate’s official website.
• The QA Directorate extended full support to QAC members throughout the SAR preparation process.
• Upon receipt of the final SARs from the departments, the following Assessment Team members were nominated to review them:

3.Mr. Jamshaid Nisar, AM QA, H-11 Campus

6.The AT conducted the assessment on 13 May 2026.
The Campus QA representative arranged the final exit meeting with the DG BUIC at 1630 hours, where the AT presented its overall findings. All relevant Principals, HODs, and QACs were in attendance.
Program-wise overall assessment of the AT based on the Rubric is given below: -
- BS Economics: 62%
- BS Supply Chain Management: 84%
- BS English: 73%
- BS Media Studies: 70%

The assessment commenced at 0900 hours on 14 May 2026 with an initial meeting between the AT and the Director, BU H-11 Campus, Islamabad. Principal BSE& AS, HODs, and QACs attended the meeting. The overall visit was coordinated by the Assistant Director of QA, Bahria University H-11 Campus.

Executive Summary- Assessment of SARs of UG programs of BUKC and IPP on HEC Revised QA Framework PREE - PSG-2023
This Self-Assessment Report (SAR) has been prepared as part of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan's Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) framework to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the academic programme. The review aims to assess the programme's compliance with HEC quality standards, identify its strengths, recognize areas for improvement, and support a culture of continuous quality enhancement.
The self-assessment exercise of 8 Undergraduate Programs (listed below) of Bahria University Karachi Campus and Institute of Professional Psychology was planned in July 2025 and subsequently carried out by the Programme Teams in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Directorate on 9 to 10 June 2026.

A Programme Team, functioning as the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC), was constituted for the review. The committee consisted of three to four faculty members possessing expertise in the relevant discipline. Prior to initiating the assessment, all committee members participated in a comprehensive orientation and training session on the HEC PREE Standards to ensure a standardized and evidence-based evaluation
process. The assessment commenced at 0900 hours on 09 June 2026 with an initial meeting between the AT and the DG BU BUKC. All relevant Principals, HODs and QA Committees attended the meeting. The overall visit was coordinated by the DD QA, BUKC.
The AT reviewed the Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) prepared by the respective departmental QAC in line with the HEC Revised Framework – Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) Standards, PSG 2023. The eight PREE standards are as follows:

Executive Summary of the Self-Assessment Report of the BS Psychology program of BULC Campus: Lahore
Self-Assessment Program: BS Psychology Accreditation/Regulatory Body: HEC Date: June 08, 2026
In accordance with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Revised Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) Standards (PSG-2023), an Assessment Team (AT) conducted the Assessment of the BS Psychology programme offered by the Department of Professional Psychology, Bahria University Lahore Campus (BULC) on 08 June 2026. The review commenced at 0900 hours with an introductory meeting with the Director, Bahria University Lahore Campus, followed by detailed interactions between the Assessment Team and the HOD of the Department of Professional Psychology. The visit was coordinated by the ADQA, BULC. Prior to the assessment visit, the departmental Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) prepared the Self-Assessment Report in accordance with the HEC PREE (PSG-2023)
framework. To facilitate this process, the Directorate of Quality Assurance conducted an orientation session, provided the prescribed SAR templates and supporting documents, and extended continuous guidance to the departmental QAC throughout the preparation
phase.
