Brief summary of the Self-RIPE visit
1. A Self-RIPE (Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement) for 2024-25 was conducted at Bahria University from 3–5 June 2025, in line with the HEC Revised Quality Assurance Framework (PSG-2023), to strengthen policy development, governance, and the institutionalization of academic and research activities.
2. In line with HEC Islamabad’s Revised Quality Assurance Framework, which replaces the Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) with the Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE), Bahria University conducted a Self-RIPE in accordance with QAA-HEC guidelines. The Directorate of Quality Assurance (DQA) of Bahria University prepared a standard wise report addressing all sixteen standards. During the review visit, the Panel physically assessed institutional facilities and engaged with faculty, administrative staff, and students. The QA Directorate of the University continues to play a pivotal role in supporting its commitment to
enhancing the quality of education and research in its pursuit of academic excellence.
3. The contributions of all administrative and academic officials in preparing the report and supporting the review process are sincerely acknowledged. The Director QA and their team played a vital role in facilitating the Review Panel, leading comprehensive discussions on governance, financial sustainability, and quality enhancement in teaching and research. The Panel conducted an in-depth review of documentation, raised pertinent queries, and formed conclusions based on their extensive experience in the higher education sector. Stakeholders were encouraged to provide honest feedback, promoting a culture of transparency. It is expected
that the University will appreciate this open exchange and take steps to institutionalize transparency across all levels.
4. During the three-day documentation review, interactive sessions, and onsite visit, the Reviewers not only identified key areas of concern but also provided actionable
recommendations for improvement.
5. It is hoped that the University will implement these recommendations in true spirit, leading to enhanced institutional quality and the development of graduates equipped with relevant skills to make meaningful contributions to societal advancement.
6. The Director QA presented the compliance report on the implementation plans of the IPE reports for 2022–23 and 2023–24 to the Self-RIPE team. The team expressed satisfaction with the key points addressed in the compliance reports. Overall, the compliance was found to be
satisfactory, and all relevant evidence was properly attached to the reports.
