BAHRIA UNIVERSITY, E-8 CAMPUS, ISLAMABAD

Executive Summary

In line with HEC guidelines, an Assessment Team (AT) conducted evaluations of selected programs, choosing one program from each faculty. The review was carried out using the HEC revised standard of Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) –PSG 2023 framework.

1.      BS International Relations – Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

2.      BS Accounting and Finance Faculty of Management Sciences

3.      BS Psychology Faculty of Professional Psychology

4.      LLM Faculty of Law

The assessment commenced at 0900 hours on 25 June 2025 with an initial meeting between the AT and the Director General (DG) at Bahria University E-8 Campus, Islamabad. All concerned Principals, HODs, and QACs attended the meeting. The overall visit was coordinated by the Deputy Director of QA, Bahria University E-8 Campus.

The AT reviewed the Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) prepared by the respective departmental QACs in line with the HEC Revised Framework – Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) Standards, PSG 2023. The eight PREE standards are as follows:

1.      Programme mission, objectives, and outcomes

2.      Curriculum design and organisation

3.      Subject-specific facilities

4.      Student advising and counselling

5.      Teaching faculty/staff

6.      Institutional policies and process control

7.      Institutional support and facilities

8.      Institutional general requirements

 

Methodology

The first Self-Assessment exercise under the revised PREE standards was carried out through the following steps:

 

§  Monthly training sessions were conducted for the QACs of the selected programs.

 

§  All necessary documentation, including the SAR template based on PREE standards and feedback forms, was made available by the QA focal person at the campus and uploaded on the QA Directorate’s official website.

§  The QA Directorate extended full support to QAC members throughout the SAR preparation process.

§  Upon receipt of the final SARs from the departments, the following Assessment Team members were nominated to review them:

o   Dr. Faisal Bashir, Dean ES

o   Cdr (R) Omar Qureshi, DDQA, E-8 Campus

o   Mr. Jamshaid Nisar, AM QA, H-11 Campus

o   Mr. Muhammad Anwar Khan, QA Officer, BUHO

 

§  The AT conducted the assessment on 25 June 2025.

§  The campus QA focal person arranged the final exit meeting with the DG, Bahria University Islamabad Campus, at 1630 hrs, where the AT presented its overall findings. All relevant Principals, HODs, and QACs were in attendance.

 

Program-wise overall assessment of the AT based on the Rubric is given below: -

1.      BS International Relations, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, 73%

2.      BS Accounting and Finance, Faculty of Management Sciences, 68%

3.      BS Psychology, Faculty of Professional Psychology, 79%

4.      LLM, Faculty of Law, 70%

Executive Summary

In line with HEC guidelines, an Assessment Team (AT) evaluated the Self-Assessment Report of the BS Environmental Sciences program of Bahria University H-11 Campus, Islamabad, Faculty of Engineering Sciences. The review was carried out using the HEC revised standard of Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) –PSG 2023 framework.

The assessment commenced at 0900 hrs on 25 June 2025 with an initial meeting between the AT and the DG, Bahria University E-8 Campus, Islamabad. The Principal BSE&AS, HOD, and QACs of the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department attended the meeting. The Assistant Manager QA, Bahria University H-11 Campus, Islamabad coordinated the overall visit.

The AT reviewed the Self-Assessment Report prepared by the Earth and Environmental Science departmental QACs in line with the HEC Revised Framework – Program Review for

Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) Standards, PSG 2023. The eight PREE standards are as follows:

1.      Programme mission, objectives, and outcomes

2.      Curriculum design and organisation

3.      Subject-specific facilities

4.      Student advising and counselling

5.      Teaching faculty/staff

6.      Institutional policies and process control

The overall assessment of the AT based on the Rubric form of BS ES is: 83%

Executive Summary

In line with HEC guidelines, an Assessment Team (AT) evaluated the Self-Assessment Report of the BS Medical Lab Technology (MLT) program of Bahria University Health Sciences, Karachi, Faculty of Health Sciences. The review was carried out using the HEC revised standard of Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) –PSG 2023 framework.

The assessment commenced at 0900 hrs on 25 June 2025 with an initial meeting between the AT and the DG, BUHS, Karachi. The Principal MLT, HOD, and QACs attended the meeting. The Assistant Manager QA, BUHS, Karachi, coordinated the overall visit.

The AT reviewed the Self-Assessment Report prepared by the MLT departmental QACs in line with the HEC Revised Framework PREE Standards, PSG 2023. The eight PREE standards are as follows:

1.      Programme mission, objectives, and outcomes

2.      Curriculum design and organisation

3.      Subject-specific facilities

4.      Student advising and counselling

5.      Teaching faculty/staff

6.      Institutional policies and process control

7.      Institutional support and facilities

§  The campus QA focal person arranged the final exit meeting with the DG, BUHS, Karachi, at 1630 hrs, where the AT presented its overall findings. The Principal MLT, HOD, and QACs attended the meeting.

The overall assessment of the AT based on the Rubric form of the BS MLT program is 86%.
