Program Title: MS Environmental Science
Duration: 2 Years Total
Credit Hours: 32
Admission Criteria:
BS degree (16 years of education) in Environmental Sciences, Geology, Geophysics, GIS and Remote Sensing, or any other relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized institution with minimum CGPA 2.50/4.00 (semester system) or 50% marks (annual system).
Candidates having non-environmental degree may be required to complete up to 09 credit hours of deficiency courses, as determined by the Department on case-to-case basis.

Graduates of the MS Environmental Science program will:
1. Apply Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge and skills in environmental science to evaluate and mitigate the environmental impacts of policies, plans, and projects, and contribute to sustainable development.
2. Advance Knowledge: Conduct original research and generate new knowledge in environmental science, addressing critical environmental challenges and informing evidence-based decision-making.
3. Communicate and Collaborate: Effectively communicate complex environmental issues to diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, scientists, and community members, and collaborate with them to develop and implement sustainable solutions.
4. Lead and Innovate: Contribute to the advancement of knowledge in environmental science through scholarly research and publications, and apply innovative approaches to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development.

By the completion of this course, graduates will be able to:
1. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in applying strategic environmental assessments principles and methodologies to evaluate the environmental impacts of policies, plans and projects.
2. Utilize advanced research methods to investigate complex environmental phenomena, generate new knowledge, and inform evidence-based decision-making in environmental science.
3. Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, scientists, and community members, to facilitate informed dialogue and collaborative efforts towards problem analysis and addressing environmental issues.
4. Contribute to the advancement of knowledge in environmental science through scholarly research and publications that address critical environmental challenges and promote sustainable development.
