AIESEC- Live the Experience!
By: Haleema Asad
Bahria University Islamabad Campus (BUIC) organized a conference for the AIESC on Wednesday, 13th March. The conference was an astounding success; with multiple students of different departments attending and interacting with those who have ‘lived the experience’ of AIESEC first hand.
Now, what is AIESEC? Short for International Association of Students in Economics and Management- AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-run organization. This international organization is non-governmental and non-profit, active in 120 countries are providing young people with vast opportunities for leadership development, cross-culture global internships, and volunteer exchange experiences across the globe!
Furthermore, AIESEC is providing entrepreneurship, internships, and volunteer programs during the summer breaks. This means that if you want to participate in this organization you will not have to sacrifice a complete semester or you’re credit hours! While questioning the head of management for AIESEC in the conference (An IT 3rd semester student) said about the AIESEC experience: “It completely changes you. I’ve gone out of the country twice under the guidance of AIESEC. Both times were amazing.” There is always a helping hand to guide you through in AIESEC.
