All Karachi Bilingual Declamation Contest
Participation of BUMDC in All Karachi Bilingual Declamation Contest


On 20th of January, annual declamation contest was organized by the Debate Society of Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College. Two students of 3rd year B.D.S from Bahria University Medical and Dental College spoke proficiently, maintaining the trend of participating in the oration contest.

Safia Anwar spoke on an English topic,’ So silently we watched our soil turn red’ and Affaf Fatima picked up an Urdu topic,’ Na-Haq kay liye laray tou shamsheer bhi fitna’. There were 12 contestants from all over Karachi, including NUST PNEC, Jinnah Medical and Dental College, Bahria Model School and Greenwich University.

Most contestants verbalised their views and expressed their agony on the recent tragedy in Peshawar on 16th December 2014. The audience appreciated the rousing speeches, motivating the contestants. It was an honour for BUMDC that Safia Anwar stood second in her speech. She was awarded with a trophy along with a huge round of applause. BUMDC continues to step up the stairs of success.
