During a guest lecture sesssion in Online Journalism class Senior Executive Producer at Geo News Irfan Ishaque responds to questions of BS Media Studies’ 7th semester students. Ishaque guides students how to navigate in the Pakistan’s journalism industry as the students ask questions on media landscape and news production.
Ishaque’s experience in journalism industry spans more than two decades. In early 2000s he did a fellowship at CNN and learnt digital journalism from the US. Geo Pakistan, the first morning show on a Pakistani news channel, is the brain child of Ishaque. He has also produced ‘Aaj Kamran Khan Ke Saath’ for many years. Ishaque has been part of production team of ‘Report Card’ and ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada ke Saath’. Last year he went to the US on International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
