Dr. Asif Inam worked at the National Institute of Oceanography from August 1984 to 19 April 2019. Did Ph.D. from the University of Wales. Director of Pakistan’s Continental Shelf Programme from 2004 to 2015. Participated in the scientific expedition to Antarctica. Honored to be a member of the Legal & Technical Commission of the United Nations International Seabed Authority (2007-2011). Appointed as Director-General of the National Institute of Oceanography in 2015. Retired in April 2019 after serving NIO as Director General and Chief Scientist. Joined Bahria University Karachi Campus, as Head of Department of Maritime Sciences in May 2019.
