SUMMARY

Dr. Rashida Qari appointed as Professor in Department of Maritime Sciences, Bahria Business School, Bahria University, Karachi Campus, Pakistan on November 2018. She is Ex Director, Institute of Marine Sciences, University of Karachi, Pakistan. She obtained her PhD in Marine Biology from Centre of Excellence in Marine Biology, Karachi University. She has thirty three years teaching and Research experience as Marine Scientist.About sixty research publications, most of them are published in different peer review national and international journals. Recently her one scientific chapter “Extraction Technologies for Bioactive Polysaccharides” in a book “Recent Advances in Micro- and Macroalgal Processing: Food and Health Perspectives” which is edited by Gaurav Rajauria and Yvonne V. Yuan and published by John Wiley & Sons Ltd. Eighty popular scientific articles published in daily newspaper (Jang, Hurriat and Jisarat) and monthly magazine (Science Digest, Shabistan, Jadeed Science, BaqaiSahat) and twenty Islamic articles published in daily news paper (Jang and Hurriat) and monthly magazine (Mahrab- Member, Turjuman Ahla Sunnat, Mehromah and Ilham).Above 200 conferences, seminars and workshops attended and in most of them research papers presented. She has presented his research papers in Dhaka Bangladesh, India and Mauritius. She also visited  Glasgow University, UK in one linkage Program “Coastal Zone Management and Environmental Impact Assessment. She has a full Contribution/participation as Marine Expert in preparation of BS 4-years courses in Coastal and Marine-Sciences at Department of Maritime Sciences, Bahria University Karachi Campus (2021).She has full Contribution /participation in making of MS (Maritime Ports and Shipping Management), MS (Maritime Trade and Logistics) and BS (MARITIME & BUSINESS MANAGEMENT.She also fully Contributed/participated in preparation of BS 4-years and MS/Ph.D curriculum of Marine Science.Nowadays she is member of in Editorial Advisory Board Acta Scientific Microbiology Journal, India from August 2018.Life time member of SEGMITE ,APAOand Pakistan Aquaculture and Fisheries Society.
