The Department of humanities and social sciences organized a Seminar on “Role Of Authorities In Ramadan Mubarik Against Illegal Profiteering Or Adulteration” on 23rd April, 2019 at Fatima Jinnah Auditorium, Bahria University with the collaboration with CPRC. The guest speaker was Commissioner of Karachi Mr. Ifthikhar Ali Shallwani
The event started with recitation of Quran followed by national anthem. The seminar was preceded by a brief introduction of the CPRC. In this opening speech, DR Shakeel Baig Chairperson of CPRC emphasized the importance of awareness regarding consumer right and the consequences of adulteration over health of general consumer. The session started around 03:30 and ended around 06:00 PM. The students received the session with admiration and they found the Panel discussion very informative and interesting. Students took an active part in Q&A session. The event ended with honorarium to the guests and distribution of certificates and gift hampers among students.
