This Seminar is an attempt to analyze the political structure of Pakistan economy along with the cause and effects of underperformance of Pakistan on most economic, social and political indicators including development of economy, inflation, employment, industrial and agricultural growth, poverty, income inequality, education, health, gender equality, corruption, political instability etc. which results growth without development. This session will also assist the students to identify the possible options that leads to improvement and will transform our underperformed economy to better performed economy.

Learning Outcomes:

Comparison of developed and under developed nations are always considered to be a debatable question.  But in the current era of Globalization, every country is striving hard to compete each other through their economies where some nations follow the political economy models of growth and public service provision that stresses the incentives of the elite under high inequality to under invest in the human capital of the majority while other countries follow the political economy models that stress the ethnic divisions which will lead to low public goods provision.

This session assist students to learn the importance of politics in ecoomy.

Evaluation:  

Students are evaluated from the activities conducted after the seminar through a quiz.
