Short Biography

Ms.Urooj Aijaz is an Economist by education and currently serves as a faculty at the Department of H&SS-Bahria University Karachi and Managing Director of IRP. Upon her research on Blue Economy IRP appointed her as a National Coordinator of Blue Economy (2018 till date). She is also a Member of the National Advisory Board of Innovation and a Member of the Health & Education Committee of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry. She also served FPCCI as a member of the water resource management committee. She is a regular writer and researcher having 33 publications in HEC-recognized X & Y category journals and more than 170 publications in reputed and popular press focusing on the Economy, Blue Economy, Academia Industrial Linkage, promotion of entrepreneurial culture, and social sciences.  Books titled, “Mapping Academic Response to COVID-19” and “Silk Route Revisited: Essays and Perspectives on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Beyond” are also on her credit.
