Short Biography

I am Dr. Shagufta Naseer, a devoted professional in the realm of public health, boasting extensive experience across academic and clinical spheres. I have consistently demonstrated a profound dedication to advancing healthcare and education throughout my illustrious career.

At present, I hold the esteemed position of Cluster Head and Senior Lecturer of Public Health at Bahria University Karachi Campus. In this capacity, I play a pivotal role in spearheading the BS-Public Health program, overseeing its continual enhancement to align with both national and international academic standards. Guiding faculty members, refining course content, and ensuring the seamless execution of teaching activities are among my primary responsibilities. Furthermore, I actively contribute to faculty selection processes, nurturing an environment conducive to academic excellence.

Prior to assuming my current role, I served as a Lecturer in the Department of Community Dentistry at Dow University of Health Sciences from December 2012 to December 2017. During this tenure, I imparted lectures, supervised undergraduate students in clinical settings, and engaged in various teaching endeavors encompassing public health and dental sciences. My involvement extended to curriculum development, examination administration, and academic advising for students.

My educational journey has been marked by significant milestones. I am currently enrolled in Ph.D. at Baqai Medical University in Karachi, augmenting my expertise in Public health. Additionally, I hold a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) from Dow University of Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Karachi.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I possess a diverse skill set, proficient in various digital tools and platforms. My adeptness in research methodologies is evidenced by my prolific publication record in esteemed journals. From epidemiology to healthcare quality management, my research interests underscore my commitment to addressing pressing health issues.

In recognition of my exemplary contributions to education, I have been honored with prestigious awards, including accolades as the Best Teacher in student feedback surveys conducted by the Quality Enhancement Cell of Dow University of Health Sciences.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am committed to continuous personal and professional growth. I hold certifications in Disaster Management, Healthcare Project Management, Healthcare Quality Practice, and Health Profession Education. Furthermore, my passion for culinary arts has led me to attain certification as a Pastry Chef.
