- Faculty Members visit to China
Four faculty members Dr. Haris Khan, Mughal Shareef, Muhammad Jahangir Khan, Jawwad Abdullah Butt, attended the series of seminars on “Marine Geological Survey and Environmental Protection of Coastal Zone for Developing Countries” from Sept 20 – Oct 11, 2019, held at Qingdao, Tianjin & Beijing, China. They participated in academic activates, seminars, technical exhibitions, international conferences and a geological field visit of Ling Shan island. The highlighted subjects of the training visit were: Gas hydrates, Investigation of Offshore oil & Gas Resources, Geological and Geophysical Surveys in Marine environment, Coastal Zone Environment, Protection of Coastal Habitat, GIS Data for Coastal Mapping, Geo-Cloud etc. Various distinguished Chinese Professors, Expert Academicians & Researchers presented their studies and applications related to global issues related to environmental protection and geoscience research. The attendees from BUKC also participated in two international conferences held at Qingdao and Tainjin Institutes of Research during the study tour.
