We had a great opportunity to visit the PTCL Exchange. It was an eye-opening experience to see the behind-the-scenes of the largest telecommunication company in Pakistan. We had the chance to get a firsthand look at the operations and interact with the employees. We are extremely thankful for the warm hospitality and the valuable insights we gained.

On 19th Dec 2022, 11AM: 15 Students of final year from BUKC BEE (Power) along with Engr. Muhammad Khalid visited DHA Grid Energization Station ( termed as Phase 4) located in Phase VIII opposite Emaar towers. Students were able to witness the Double Bus Bar GIS system ( Gas Insulated Switchgear). It was fed with 132KV. The system consisted of various Current and Potential transformers as well as surge protection devices. The Gas used for insulation was SF6, compressed and pressurized at a specific bar. Moreover, the second stage was to step down 132KV to 11KV for distribution purposes. System is being controlled with Switchgears and PLCs, which are also back up by DC batteries. The system is supervised by PEL.
