The Bahria University, being a pioneer in imparting Maritime education in Pakistan, has established the Maritime School at Bahria university Karachi Campus. The Inauguration of Bahria School of Maritime and Applied Sciences (BSMAS) was held at Bahria University Karachi Campus (BUKC) on 14th September 2022. Honorable Rector of BU, Vice Admiral (R) Kaleem Shaukat HI(M) was a chief guest at to unveil the plaque of Maritime School at Sir Syed Block. The Rector Bahria University, Vice Admiral (R) Kaleem Shaukat HI(M), and principal BSMAS, Dr. Asif Inam addressed the higher officials of the maritime sector and the Navy officials regarding the significance of the Maritime Sector of Pakistan and the role of BU in imparting Maritime Academic qualification was also highlighted. Currently, two departments “The Department of Maritime Sciences” and “The Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences” comes under the Bahria School of Maritime and Applied Sciences School with a vision of expanding its horizon.
