It is an immense pleasure to announce that a team “ GEOBIZ” of three students from the Earth and Environment Science (E&ES) department, Bahria University Karachi Campus (BUKC), has been declared as the 2nd Regional Winners of Hult Prize Foundation 2021 at the Impact_Summit held in Islamabad. The Business Incubation Center, Bahria University Karachi Campus (BIC-BUKC), organized and conducted HULT_PRIZE 2021 on-campus at BUKC. Around more than 40 universities in Pakistan managed this even on-campus.
The winning team’ GEOBIZ,’ comprising of Ms. Areeba Rafiq, Mr. Rizwan Altaf, Ms. Moatter Aqeel from BUKC School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (E&AS), will go forward to the Hult Global Accelerator Program in Melbourne, Australia, representing Pakistan globally. The Team will be going through intense rounds of challenges to compete for the US $1 million prizes.
I Engr Syed Rizwan Ali, Assistant Professor / Manager BIC-BUKC, had the privileged, along with three judges (Mr. Shujaat COO -PNIP, Dr. Aqeel Assoc. Prof. – NUST Business School, and Mr. Syed Muneer Vice President – E-Build Pakistan) , to judge the on-campus NUST Business School, Islamabad students’ team “Froods,” selected as 1st Pakistan Regional Winners of Hult Prize 2021. Infact only two teams are going to represent Pakistan.
Congrats to All BU families and Special thanks to BUKC Management for believing in me and permitted to conduct this event in very short time, Dr. Salma, Sr. AP, HoD, Mr. Irfan AP, Dr. Harris Sr. AP from the department of E&ES-BUKC, Ms. Muskan student, and ALLAH Subhan blessing it would be not possible.
