MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE SOCIETY

The main objective of Bahria University’s Legal Nexus is to provide students of Bahria Law School with enhanced opportunities for their growth and development. It offers students exposure through involvement in both co-curricular and extracurricular activities, fostering a well-rounded educational experience.

Core Council

The President: Mr. Bilal Ahmad Bugti who is currently in his 5th year is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Nexus. He is responsible for assignment of duties to the members and calling the meetings of the BULN.

The Vice-President: Mr. Allauddin assists the President of BULN in the management and supervision of the BULN. In absence of the President, he can chair, if necessary, the meeting of the BULN and oversee the affairs of BULN as the sitting President.

 

The General-Secretary: Mr. Ahmed Yar is responsible for all the internal matters of the BULN and has the authority to supervise the Director-General Management to ensure smooth working of events of BULN.

The Special Advisor content & Research: Ms. Saba Kazmi plays a pivotal role in managing the content that gets uploaded to legal corners. She ensures its accuracy, relevance, and quality. Additionally, she oversees the publication process.

 

The Supervisor of finance: Mr. Sami-ur-Rehman plays his role by managing the society’s finances, including budgeting and financial reporting. Additionally, he leads promotional efforts for all society events by reaching out to classes and collecting registrations.

 

The Supervisor of media: Ms. Zoon Fatima is tasked with overseeing all media-related aspects, including photography and videography. She is responsible for capturing and producing all visual content that gets uploaded to various platforms. Additionally, she manages the social media handles, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence across different channels.

 

The Director-General: Mr. Tabish Hasnat is responsible for overall management of events conducted by the Nexus. He is also responsible for collaborations, communications, and cooperation’s between the Directorates working under him, in order to fulfill objectives of BULN.

The Joint-Secretary: Ms. Tahreema Afraz is responsible for all the Inter-Society Coordination and overall communication between the Nexus. She is also responsible for resolution of any disputes or problems that may arise in the executive council.

 

Events conducted by BULN

 

  1. ORIENTATION SESSION FOR THE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN SPRING 2024 (16th FEBURAY, 2024)

During the orientation, the dedicated executives and The Core Council members played a pivotal role in guiding the new students through essential information about the law department. They covered various aspects, including the usage of LMS CMS portals, understanding GPA, explaining the grading system, providing insights into the faculty, and addressing other pertinent details.

 

 

 

  1. LEGAL NEXUS ORIENTATION (21ST FEBURARY, 2024)

The announcement of selected members for the Executive Council was made, and official appointment letters were presented to each participant. The occasion provided an opportunity for students to engage meaningfully with all society members, including the Core Council.

 

The orientation served as an informative platform for students to gain insights into BULN and understand their roles within the society. Professional photographs were taken to commemorate the occasion, preserving the memory for all involved.


  1. VISIT TO NATIONAL ASSEMBLY (15th MAY, 2024)

Students visited the National Assembly of Pakistan, where they attended an ongoing session discussing the Palestine issue and current political matters. They also toured the National Assembly Museum, gaining valuable insights into the Constitution of Pakistan and the country’s legislative process.

  1. CRICKET TOURNAMENT (4th MARCH TO 6th MARCH)

The cricket tournament organized by BULN during our sports week was a showcase of skill and sportsmanship, further elevated by the presence of the Head of the Law School. The match itself was a captivating display of athletic prowess, with players demonstrating both teamwork and individual brilliance.

The tournament provided a platform for participants to showcase their dedication to sports, emphasizing the interdisciplinary nature of holistic education. This collaborative spirit celebrated athleticism and strengthened the sense of community within our academic institution.

 

  1. GUEST LECTURE (30th APRIL,2024)

Bahria University Legal Nexus recently hosted an insightful guest lecture by Ms. Riffat Inam Butt, the esteemed Secretary of the Law & Justice Commission of Pakistan. The event aimed to shed light on emerging opportunities and provided in-depth insights within the legal sphere. Ms. Butt’s extensive experience and knowledge offered the attendees a valuable perspective on the evolving landscape of law and justice in Pakistan.

In her comprehensive lecture, Ms. Butt emphasized on fundamental rights, outlining the various government institutions dedicated to upholding and protecting these rights. She elaborated on the crucial roles these institutions play in ensuring justice and equality, highlighting the continuous efforts to improve legal frameworks and safeguard citizens’ rights. Her discussion also touched upon the latest legal reforms and their potential impact on the judicial system and society at large.

 

 

  1. BOOK SESSION (14th MARCH, 2024)

BULN convened a captivating book session that brought together avid readers to delve into the intricacies of “The Silent Patient.” Participants eagerly shared their diverse interpretations and reflections on the book, sparking engaging dialogue and intellectual exchange. Through thoughtful analysis and discourse, attendees gained deeper insights into the themes, characters, and narrative techniques employed by the author, enhancing their appreciation for the literary work. As the discussion on “The Silent Patient” unfolded, the session evolved into a platform for enthusiasts to recommend and explore a myriad of other captivating reads. From timeless classics to contemporary bestsellers, attendees enthusiastically shared their favorite titles, offering valuable insights into must-read books across various genres and themes.

 

 

 

  1. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY SESSION (26th MARCH, 2024)

BULN recently organized a session on research methodology aimed at providing students with a comprehensive understanding of various research methods, including literature review.

Through engaging presentations and interactive discussions, participants gained the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate the complexities of academic research with confidence and precision.

BULN’s initiative underscores its dedication to nurturing a culture of academic excellence and research proficiency among students, thereby empowering them to embark on scholarly pursuits with clarity and competence.

 

 

 

  1. TRIP TO NATHIAGALI (24TH FEBURARY, 2024)

BULN organized an exciting day trip to Donga Gali for Bahria University’s law students. The adventure-packed day included a refreshing hike and lively snow fights, creating a fun atmosphere for everyone. The highlight was witnessing live snowfall, giving students a rare chance to unwind and connect with nature amid the usual academic pressures.

This break from the routine offered more than just recreation; it became a shared experience that strengthened bonds among the students. The picturesque surroundings of Donga Gali provided a beautiful backdrop to the day’s activities, making it a memorable escape from the stress of law studies.

 

 

  1. AFTAR DRIVE (1ST APRIL, 2024)

BULN orchestrated a heartwarming iftar gathering, extending a gracious invitation to all the diligent workers of Bahria University. With deep respect and gratitude for their tireless efforts, BULN curated an evening of appreciation and solidarity, celebrating the invaluable contributions of our esteemed workforce. Set against the backdrop of Ramadan’s spirit of compassion and unity, the event aimed to honor and uplift our dedicated workers, recognizing their pivotal role in the university’s success.

This iftar event not only served as a moment of nourishment for the body but also nourished the soul, embodying the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of gratitude and inclusivity. Through gestures of kindness and unity, BULN reaffirmed their unwavering support for the hardworking individuals who play an integral role in the university’s mission and vision.

 

 

  1. PHASE II OF SPORTS WEEK (20TH TO 22ND MAY, 2024)

The table tennis matches featured in the recent sports event organized by Bahria University Legal Nexus showcased a remarkable display of enthusiasm and skill among the athletes. With swift and precise movements, competitors engaged in dynamic exchanges, captivating spectators with their agility and strategic prowess. Each match was imbued with a sense of excitement and entertainment, as players demonstrated their mastery of the sport through precise serves, powerful volleys, and tactical maneuvers.

 

The event served as a platform for athletes to showcase their dedication and passion for table tennis, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship among participants and spectators alike. From intense rallies to moments of exceptional finesse, the matches highlighted the enduring appeal of table tennis as a thrilling and competitive sport within the Bahria University community.

 

 

 

 

  1. PRESIDENT HOUSE VISIT (23RD MAY, 2024)

The visit organized by Bahria University Legal Nexus to Awan-e-Sadar, the official residence of the President of Pakistan, presented an unparalleled opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of the country’s legal and political landscape. This meticulously arranged excursion not only facilitated experiential learning but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the intricacies of executive governance. Under the guidance of seasoned experts, students were immersed in a comprehensive exploration of presidential duties, functions, and historical significance.

 

  1. CLOSING CEREMONY OF BULN SPRING 2024 (27th MAY, 2024)

 

On the occasion of the closing ceremony for the Spring 2024 term and the conclusion of President Bilal Ahmed Bugti’s tenure, a grand event was held at Bahria University Islamabad Campus. The ceremony featured a prize distribution for the sports events, presided over by the Chief Guest, the Director of Administration.

During the event, prominent members of the society who significantly contributed were recognized and honored. Additionally, a heartfelt tribute was paid to the permanent members of the faculty for their unwavering dedication and service. The ceremony highlighted the collective efforts and achievements of the university community, marking the end of a successful academic term and presidential tenure.
