Warda Malik’s journey in development began with a bachelor’s and a masters in development studies, both marked with distinct academic success and accolades including the President’s Gold Medal for Academic Excellence in the latter. With poignant education in development studies and a specialization in peace, conflict and development, I have been working relentlessly since graduating to contribute to greater social justice, youth empowerment, and capacity building. As a part of my personal commitment to social change, I also truly believe the youth of today holds the power of transforming our world. With immense confidence in the power of young change-makers, my career in academia is dedicated to sharing what I have learned with budding intellectuals and becoming a companion on their journey towards growth. With focused research on inequalities, deprivation and poverty, I am eager to educate young minds and help them become forces for advocacy, equality and development, in Pakistan and beyond.
