The English Cluster at Bahria University Islamabad Campus was established in Spring 2021 with a primary focus on providing quality education in the field of English Literature and Linguistics. We offer a Bachelor of Science (BS) programme in English Literature and Linguistics, designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the English language, its literature, and linguistic theories. We are also set to expand our academic offerings by launching our MPhil program in Linguistics in Spring 2025, providing students with an opportunity to pursue advanced studies in the field of linguistics.
Our cluster prides itself on a team of experienced faculty members, each specializing in various domains within the field of English literature and linguistics. The faculty’s expertise spans areas such as Corpus Linguistics, Grammar and Syntax, Morphology, Systemic Functional Linguistics, Language Education, English Language Teaching (ELT), English for Specific Purposes (ESP), Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), post colonialism, American literature etc. Our faculty members are at the forefront of innovative approaches to English language teaching, equipping students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in diverse educational settings.
