Dr. Zartashia Answar Khan has been serving as Assistant professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Bahria University, Islamabad Campus since 2023. She has a dynamic and passionate researcher with a strong academic background and a profound interest in addressing global challenges related to sustainable development and environmental conservation. With both Ph.D and MS degrees in Development Studies from COMSATS University Islamabad, complemented by an MSc in Geography from Peshawar University with deep understanding of the complex interactions between human societies and the environment. Driven by a passion for positive change, she researches sustainable development, focusing on livelihoods, disaster management, and climate adaptation. Her work spans topics from socio-economic impacts of climate change to natural resource management. She specializes in land use change, employing GIS for landscape analysis and responsible land management strategies. She actively involves communities, policymakers, and stakeholders in translating research into actionable solutions, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based decision-making for environmental challenges. Beyond academia, she shares knowledge, inspiring contributions to sustainable development.
