Short Biography

Aamir Shahzad received the PhD degree in 2012 from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing, China, in Electronics and Information Engineering. He did MS in Computer Engineering from LUMS, Pakistan. His BE in Electrical Engineering is from College of E&ME, NUST, Pakistan.

 

He joined Department of Electrical Engineering, Bahria University in August 2014 as an Assistant Professor. Before he has worked in Namal College (an associate college of University of Bradford, UK), SEECS (NUST, Islamabad), CASE (Islamabad) and INRIA/IRISA Research Labs, Rennes, France. He also held visiting academic and research appointments at Bahria University, Islamabad and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore.

His research interests are in wireless communications, signal processing, information theory and convex optimization. He has been working on topics related to interference channels, network coding, cooperative communication and random matrix theory application in communications and signal processing.
