1 Khawaja Qasim Maqbool received his B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), Pakistan in 2008, and his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from University of Leicester, U.K. in 2010, both with distinction. He received his Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong in 2018. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Bahria University Lahore Campus, Pakistan (BULC) and was appointed department head since Apr 2020. His research focuses on Analog and RF Integrated Circuit (IC) Design, Signal Integrity, Sensor Hardware Design, IC and Data Science. During his doctoral study, he has worked with Bright Semiconductors on characterization of the SMIC 28 nm CMOS process and with Huawei, Shenzhen on electromagnetic interference-related common-mode noise analysis, prediction and suppression for a high-speed CMOS serializer/deserializer transmitter. He has tape-out experience in SMIC 28 nm and TSMC 65 nm CMOS processes. He was awarded a national fellowship for M.Sc. & Ph.D. studies, is a co-recipient of the best paper award finalist at DesignCon 2017, and his ISCAS 2017 paper has been invited for the TCAS-I special issue. He was also awarded a student travel grant for ISSCC 2018. He also served as chair of the IEEE SSCS HKUST student chapter. Qasim has over 25 publications in journals and conference proceedings of international repute. He presented his research work in international conferences in the USA, China, UK, Taiwan, Austria, Oman and Bahrain. He is a reviewer for IEEE ISCAS and BioCAS. He is a HEC Approved Supervisor since 2018, life-time Professional Engineer (PE) from Pakistan Engineering Council and Senior Member IEEE.
