Dr. Iram Noreen earned her PhD in computer science under scholarship of Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan from COMSATS University with research fellowship from Korea University, Seoul, South Korea. Her PhD research was in the field of AI on path planning algorithms for non-holonomic mobile robots with contribution of a novel path planning algorithm RRT*-AB. She passed BSCS with Gold Medal and passed MSCS with Distinction Silver Medal from Lahore College for Women University. she is currently Sr. Associate Professor and Cluster Head-CS in the department of computer science, Bahria University, Lahore campus.
She has 10+ year experience in teaching, research, and educational administration along with 4-year experience in software industry. She has been reviewer in multiple international journals such as IEEE Access, Autonomous Robots, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, and JICTRA, member of international conference committees and MS/PhD examiner in several universities. She has authored/co-authored 27 research publications with 1000+ citations. She presented research work in international conferences in London, and Seoul. She earned multiple certifications from Coursera in the domain of AI and machine learning. She availed SRGP research grant worth 0.5 million from HEC to work on spline-based planning algorithms for motion planning of robots. She has also supervised multiple Ignite funding winning projects. She is HEC approved supervisor and has supervised several Masters level research thesis. Currently, she has multiple MSCS and PhD-CS students under her supervision. She also submitted a patent in IPO Pakistan. Her research interests include deep-learning, motion-planning algorithms for mobile robots, computer vision, reinforcement learning, health care AI and deepfake trends in AI. |
