Objectives of the Programme:

  • PEO 1: Demonstrate advanced knowledge, analytical abilities, and technical skills to analyze, operate, and optimize electrical power generation, transmission, distribution, and protection systems in modern energy networks.
  • PEO 2: Design, implement, and manage reliable, efficient, and sustainable power system solutions by utilizing modern engineering tools, renewable energy technologies, and smart grid practices to address industrial and societal energy challenges.
  • PEO 3: Exhibit professional ethics, leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to lifelong learning to adapt to emerging technologies, evolving energy demands, and global advancements in electrical power systems engineering.

Outcomes of the Programme:

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

  1. Analyze and evaluate electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  2. Apply modern tools and techniques for power system modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  3. Design and implement protection schemes for electrical power systems.
  4. Assess power system stability and recommend appropriate control strategies.
  5. Integrate renewable energy sources and distributed generation into existing power networks.
  6. Optimize system performance considering reliability, efficiency, and economic factors.

Programme Scheduling Format: Evening / Weekend

Minimum Entry Level:

Applicants must possess a minimum of 14 years of education with minimum 45% passing marks from an HEC recognize institution with relevant background.
