MS Cyber Security

Important for all candidates

  • Applicant for admission MUST MEET THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS set-forth by Bahria University.
  • Candidates are advised to CONFIRM THEIR ELIGIBILITY prior apply.
  • In case of annual system, eligibility will be determined on the basis of result in percentages.
  • In case of semester system, eligibility will be determined on the basis of CGPA obtained out of 4.00.
  • In case the result is shown both in CGPA and percentage, CGPA will be considered.

Admission Criteria:

HEC recognized a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant computing discipline (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems & Informatics or equivalent) with a minimum CGPA of 2.0/4.0 or 50% marks, where CGPA is not given.

A minimum of 50% in the GRE/HAT/GAT (general) or the Bahria University Entry Test (BUET) is required for admission.

Objectives of the Programme:
The educational objectives of the MS Cyber Security program are stated below:

  1. Demonstrate advanced knowledge and analytical skills to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities in modern digital and enterprise systems.
  2. Design, implement, and manage robust cybersecurity solutions, policies, and frameworks to ensure the protection of organizational information assets and critical infrastructure.
  3. Exhibit professional ethics, leadership, and a commitment to lifelong learning to adapt to emerging technologies, evolving cyber threats, and global security challenges.

Outcomes of the Programme:
By the completion of the MS Cyber Security programme, the graduates will be able to:

  1. Synthesize and evaluate advanced cybersecurity knowledge, threat intelligence, and research to solve complex and evolving security challenges.
  2. Forecast, model, and analyze emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, and design resilient, scalable, and secure systems and policies.
  3. Select, integrate, and critically evaluate advanced cybersecurity tools and platforms to implement innovative and effective security solutions.
  4. Lead and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to plan, execute, and drive complex cybersecurity initiatives, including incident response, security research, and policy development.
  5. Communicate cybersecurity research, strategies, and technical knowledge effectively to diverse audiences, supporting decision-making and policy implementation.
